Educational outreach will include lectures and seminars on art and culture, art classes and competition, and art excursions.
The Town of Sumner was the site of the Emmett Till murder trial in 1955 and now is home to a determined community effort to preserve the still-beautiful town and its historic sites and to restore its economic vitality.
With the help of federal funds, the original courthouse, where the Till trial took place, is being restored to its 1955 appearance.
